In a healthcare system riddled with prejudice and systemic biases, Mama Hakima has dedicated her life to combating the alarming disparities that afflict Black mothers and infants.

The KCMO Doula Initiative will provide direct doula services to Kansas City residents allowing them to choose from a network of doulas, including doulas at Uzazi Village.
