“I was diagnosed in 11/2006. My white blood cell count was extremely high, and my leukocytes were and still are high. As of my last checkup, my WBC count is within normal limits, but the leukocytes are still out-of-sight high. I am lucky that the real battle has not started yet. Fingers crossed that I will never, but I am on bated breath waiting for the shoe to drop. I lost my father to cancer.”
