'Downton Abbey' Movie to Air on Kansas City PBS Christmas Night

This Christmas, the Crawleys are returning to Kansas City PBS. The first Downton Abbey movie, based on the hit television series, will air on Kansas City PBS on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, at 6 p.m., Jan. 1, 2022, at 8:30 p.m. and Jan. 2, 2022, at 5 p.m.

Billed as a grand motion picture event when it opened in theaters in 2019, the first Downton Abbey movie follows the beloved Crawley family and their intrepid staff as they prepare for the most important moment of their lives: a royal visit from the King and Queen of England. The momentous occasion will unleash scandal, romance and intrigue that will leave the future of Downton hanging in the balance.

The Downton Abbey series set viewing records for a PBS drama and won 15 Primetime Emmys® and earned 69 Emmy® nominations. With this exciting addition to our schedule, we’ve shifted programming throughout Christmas Day to accommodate the Crawleys' return. You can view the new lineup below.
