New Summer Children’s Programming Schedule Announced

We are excited to announce some changes coming to our children’s programming on Channel 19.1 and Kansas City PBS Kids (19.4) our 24/7 kids channel, just in time for summer! These updates will go into effect May 3, and will remain active until fall programming is announced on September 5, 2021.

PBS KIDSNew on 19.1! Donkey Hodie | Premieres: May 3, 2021 | Airing M-F at 10 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.

This imaginative new puppet series is set in Someplace Else, an imaginary land first introduced to audiences through Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Donkey Hodie — along with her pals, Purple Panda, Duck Duck and Bob Dog, embark on adventures while empowering preschoolers to dream big, work hard and to be resourceful by solving problems on their own — sprinkling in laughter along the way.

*Donkey Hodie will replace the second episode of Daniel Tiger at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday which will shift to a 2 p.m. timeslot.

Kansas City PBS Kids Channel Updates | 19.4

Beginning Monday, May 3, we will double up on some of your favorite weekday shows offering back-to-back episodes of Daniel Tiger, Nature Cat, Pinkalicious, Odd Squad, and Arthur. These double episodes will replace WordWorld, Splash, Peep, Sid, WordGirl, and Martha Speaks during the weekday show schedule which will shift to weekend airtimes. Saturdays and Sundays will also feature back-to-back episodes of Elinor Wonders Why, Hero Elementary, Xavier Riddle, and Nature Cat.
