Meet the Host

John McGrath hails from Ottawa, Kansas, and attended the University of Kansas, where he majored in film studies. Creator and host of Kansas City PBS’ film series Art House, McGrath has written and directed several short films and is always eager to discuss all things cinema with local Kansas City filmmakers. McGrath has more than 15 years of experience in journalism and often contributes to Kansas City PBS’ nonprofit newsroom, Flatland.
